I.S.A.R. Germany terminated the operational alert for a possible deployment to Turkey´s earthquake strucked provinence of Van.

Turkey´s emergency management has good control of the situation and there is no international request for help by the turkish government until now.

I.S.A.R. Germany was prepared to send a relief team of 60 members and eight SAR-dogs. Van got struck by the severe quake on sunday, leaving many buildings in rubbles and killing about 300 people though the death toll is expected to rise. More than 1000 people sustained injuries and it is feared that several victims are still trapped under rubble.
